To describe all the possibilities for daytrips in the area, we could fill a complete other webpage. Name it and you will find it here: culture, history, (water)sports, hiking, nature, golf, or a short visit to Morocco, the possibilities are endless!
Of course there are the "Fabulous Four" cities of Andalucia: Sevilla, Córdoba, Granada and Málaga. They are always a hit and a great place to start.
But that's not all that the area has to offer! With for instance Jerez, Cádiz, Ronda, the Sierra Nevada and the National park La Doñana, the possibilities to keep on exploring are endless!
Activities
The Costa del Sol is often also called the Costa del Golf! But there is more to Andalucia and the Costa del Sol than just Golf. Horse-riding lessons or country rides in one of the many stables available. Or skiing on 115 kms prepared slopes in the Sierra Nevada from end of November till April. Or a family day to one of the fantastic water- or theme parks there are spread over the Costa del Sol like Selwo, Mijas water park, Torremolinos water park or the Fuengirola Zoo.
And right on La Cala Hills there is the sports center for your daily excersise like spinning, paddle or tennis.
But also boat fishing, watching dolphins or all sorts of water sports are some of the many possibilities to experience on the Costa del Sol.
For the more mature "boys" a Jeep safari or renting quad bikes could be a lot of fun.
To make a long story short: there is always something for everyone to enjoy on the Costa del Sol.
