The urbanisation is situated on a hill, in the centre of the "Golf Valley", only a "stroke-lenght" away from the famous golf courses of Mijas Golf and Santana Golf and was started building phase 1 in 1999. Nowadays it consists of 5 completed phases and several other, finished developments, called: Cala Alta, Las Lomas, Montebello, Doña Beni and Golden Hills, which, together with the 5 La Cala Hills phases and a number of luxury villas, complete the whole urbanisation. All phases and developments have their tropical gardens, satelite television, private pools, lovely views and underground parking. Some also have heated pools, 24 hours security and their own paddle-courts. Beginning of 2006 the commercial stores are expected to be occupied, so is the development of the 4 tennis courts at the entrance of the urbanisation.
