La Cala Hills and market circumstances
Dear visitor, while finishing 2009, and enjoying the warmest autumn ever measured in Andalucia, the year 2010 will hopefully come to us as the year where we can start to leave the credit crisis behind us and where, ideally for Andalusia, the economical sun also will start shining a bit brighter.
With a local unemployment figure of nearly 30% and a diminishing of almost 80% of the registered real-estate agencies, Andalusia has been suffering some real hard times the past few years.
Also on the ever successfully selling La Cala Hills this crisis has been noticeable over this past period. Fewer properties were sold and also here prices dropped with 30- to 35% in comparison to the golden days a from a few years ago. A price-drop nevertheless, that on this moment could be working in the advantage of some clever buyers.
However, for all sorts of reasons Andalusia and specifically the Costa del Sol continue their attractiveness to tourists and second home buyers and perhaps for that reason, ánd the low GBP/Euro exchange rates, this could be right time to purchase a first-, second- or holiday home.
